Level 2 – Islamic Studies is a continuation of the Sanatayn (2 year Islamic diploma) journey, designed to strengthen your understanding of the Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Tazkiyah (spiritual purification). This course provides an opportunity for students to deepen their connection with the deen through structured study, reflection, and practical application — all while accommodating the busy lifestyle of adult learners. This course will help students keep connected to their faith by having weekly motivations, guidance and support.
This course
is specially designed for adults who are balancing family, work, and worldly
commitments — yet still feel the pull of their heart towards seeking knowledge.
Even dedicating two hours a week can transform your understanding, elevate your
connection with the Qur’an, and renew your purpose.
Remember, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to
Paradise easy for him.” (Sahih Muslim)
Subjects Covered:
· Full Qur’an Recitation with Tajweed – Refining pronunciation and recitation to meet the standards of classical Tajweed.
· Detailed
Study of Fiqh – Exploring rulings on worship, daily life, and contemporary
issues.
· Tafseer
(Qur’anic Commentary) – Understanding the context, lessons, and guidance of
selected surahs.
· Hadith
Studies – Studying selected Hadith with commentary and practical application.
· Tazkiyah (Spiritual Purification) – Developing sincerity, humility, and a heart connected to Allah.

£400 per year.
First payment of £200 due on enrolment or September and second payment due in January.

Registration Fee
All new applicants are required to pay a one-off,
non-refundable registration fee of £50 at the time of enrolment. This mandatory
fee covers the administrative processing associated with setting up a new
student’s enrolment and account.
The registration fee is separate from tuition and other
course fees and does not form part of the student’s regular monthly tuition
payments. Payment of the registration fee is required before enrolment can be
confirmed.
Family discounts: We recognise that families enrolling more
than one student may have additional costs. Family discounts may be available
in certain circumstances and will be considered on an individual basis. Please
contact the office for further information and to discuss eligibility.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have successfully completed the Sanatayn course or equivalent approved by Baytul Ilm Academy Sunderland or other acceptable Islamic institution. A valid certificate must be provided upon enrolment.
